Apartment complexes with shared loading zones we reserve in advance.
Aurora is mostly apartment and townhome work. The complexes here usually have a shared loading area rather than a dock, which means the truck has a window rather than a spot — we book it with management before the crew leaves.
Moving inside Aurora is priced exactly as anywhere else we work: $155 an hour for 2 movers + truck, a 3 hours minimum, and travel time already inside the rate. There is no Aurora zone fee and no mileage line on the invoice.
On the quote call we ask three things — how many rooms, how many flights of stairs, and how close the truck can park. Those decide the hours, and the hours decide the price. Everything else is already included: blankets, shrink wrap, floor runners, dollies and straps.
Crews take furniture apart and put it back together, and boxes are carried to the room written on the label rather than stacked by the front door.
“Booked Wednesday, moved Saturday, 10am window and they knocked at 10:05.”
“Packing crew did the kitchen in an afternoon. Would have taken me a weekend.”
“Third move with them. Same crew leader each time, which says something.”
“Treadmill and a gun safe in one trip. Came with the right equipment for both.”
