Gig Harbor means crossing the Narrows, and the toll and the drive are both in the estimate up front. Around the harbour itself the lanes are narrow, steep and frequently private, so a shuttle from a staging point is the normal plan rather than the exception. Canterwood and the newer developments inland are ordinary suburban access with none of that.
Moving inside Gig Harbor is priced exactly as anywhere else we work: $155 an hour for 2 movers + truck, a 3 hours minimum, and travel time already inside the rate. There is no Gig Harbor zone fee and no mileage line on the invoice.
On the quote call we ask three things — how many rooms, how many flights of stairs, and how close the truck can park. Those decide the hours, and the hours decide the price. Everything else is already included: blankets, shrink wrap, floor runners, dollies and straps.

We ask about the approach on the quote call. In Downtown Gig Harbor and Harbor Hill that usually means checking how close the truck can sit to the door; where a building or the city requires a reserved space or a permit, we tell you before the date is booked rather than on the morning.
Neither is charged as an extra. Walk-ups and buildings with a service elevator both get counted as hours on the estimate, because that is what they actually cost. If a building books its elevator in blocks, we reserve one and plan the load around it.
